How to rotate Android Emulator on Mac?

I get use to develop Android apps on Windows platform and test the apps out on the Android Emulator. Screen rotation is notorious to Android developers as that is a great source of problems. Rotating Android Emulator is easy, disabling the Num lock and pressing 7 or 9 will do. There is no Num lock on the MacBook Air, how can the emulator be rotated?

There are different sayings on web that claim to be able to rotate the emulator. On laptop, some says you can do the thing by pressing Fn(Function)+7 or Fn+9. According to the emulator FAQ, the screen can be rotated using F11 and F12. All are not working. How about Ctrl+F12? It just changes the volume.

The solution works on my MacBook Air is only this combination:
Fn + Ctrl + F12

But there is only one direction of rotation. Anyway, it works.
